一项发表在《Frontiers in Psychology》上的研究也十分有趣，《特殊数字还是纯数字阵列？重复数字对判断和选择的影响》证明了人类对像888或666这类“重复数字”(Repdigits)有天然的偏好。这是因为重复数字(像888、666)在日常生活中比较少见，所以一出现就特别显眼，相对应地，记忆优先级会变得超高。
